ABE tip for Mavericks ACL problem a no-go for reader

Martin Steitz responded to our report "Tip: Turn off ABE to fix Mavericks ACL Windows Server glitches," where a reader said turning off Access Based Enumeration (ABE) on the server and SMB2 on the Mac fixed the problem. Steitz says turning off ABE had not effect, but turning of SMB2 on the Macs helps:

Does this fix our Mavericks problems with ACLs? Unfortunately not! We tested this with Windows 2008 R2 and Mac OS X 10.9.4. When I checked the mentioned option "ABE" I realized that is was already turned off. Login into the Windows Domain means, that the whole home folder will be locked.
After overtaking the owner rights and deploying the right from the superordinate folder on the Windows server access is possible again. Forcing the client to use SMB1 afterwards is working.

Have you tried this? Please .
